What if I were a Prime Minister:

Being a girl born in Pakistan, there are a number of problems that I have to face daily. Some, of them, are harassment, job inequality etc. And apart from being a girl, I’m sure all Pakistanis face many problems on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes I wonder what it would take to solve most of them, Power? Money? Links? Status?. Well, I guess all of them. After contemplating for a long time I came to a conclusion that becoming a Prime Minister might help me to solve, if not all of them, then at least most of them. So I’m listing down the number of things that I would do if I were a Prime Minister.

My foremost priority would be working for women’s rights in Pakistan. I would strive for the rights of deprived females and the policies would be laid down that would aim to forge girls’ independence and education. Proper rules and punishments would not only be introduced but also implemented against heinous practices like forced marriages, acid attacks, and harassment that women in our country face on a daily basis.

Secondly, I would work with the legislature and law making bodies to develop policies that are in nation’s interest which will help in eradicating poverty so that there would be no poor person begging for money on the roads.

I will share my vision with the people of my country that if they want to achieve greatness like their ancestors who ruled over the Ottoman Empire for almost six centuries and defeated the super powers of their times, then they’ve to stand firm by their golden principles and stay united, and disciplined in order to make the country progress and prosper.

I would make education affordable and build educational institutes all over the country to ensure quality education and eradicate the rattafication system which stops students to think critically. I would introduce single national curriculum all over the country in order to achieve the same quality of education being provided to all socio economic classes, so that the students are not discriminated on the basis of their educational background and are given equal job and career opportunities.

My sole aim would be to eradicate corruption. Money leads to greed and greed brings out the worst in people. Hence I would replace all the manual work that can cause corruption with computers that could not be hacked and that would take care of all the money. I would also install biometric attendance and cameras in government schools, colleges, hospitals, and other workplaces to ensure that people do the work they have been appointed to do. In conclusion, I’d try my best to frame policies that benefits our country in every way possible if I were the prime minister.
